Exciting day yesterday!
Dr. Katie Wilson, Under Secretary of Food Nutrition and Consumer Services, United States Department of Agriculture, learned about density and emulsion along with a group of fourth graders at Community School 55 in the South Bronx. Dr. Wilson’s visit was to learn more about Kitchen Garden Laboratories and its partners Green Bronx Machine and Young Chefs Program.
Kitchen Garden Laboratory’s Bill Yosses and Green Bronx Machine’s Stephen Ritz took Dr. Wilson on a tour of CS 55, its community gardens and its soon to be launched National Center for Health, Wellness and Learning. Stay tuned next week for more information!
